Sincere thanks to all our Donors. With your support we have been able to collect a sum of Rs.55,000. Donations are accepted till the 12th of June 2010 for this Project.
We have purchased around 600 Exercise Books, 85 Bed sheets and a significant amount has been spent on other Stationary items for students. The items will be handed over to Shakthi Illam on the 13th of June 2010.

Children born in the months of April and May are celebrating their Birthdays on the same day. Therefore we are planning to give these children 200 Milo packets for their Birthday Celebrations.
A General Knowledge book containing Worldwide facts will be also presented to the Home on the same day.

The children of Shakthi Home

Children of Shakthi Home

Welcome

Dear Friends,

Recently i got the chance to visit Shakthi Home situtated inside Ratmalana Hindu College premises. When enquired i found out that these are those children who have either lost their parents or were abandoned by their parents due to poverty. Children who escaped the last stages of the war from the IDP camps have also been shifted to this Home now.

They have big childhood dreams and hopes about their future therefore I thought of helping them with what i can and thought of seeking your support.

The care takers said that currently they are in need of Notebooks, Pens, Pencils and Bedsheets

If you are interested then you can support these children with the little you can. You don't necessarily need to donate a huge sum. With a donation of Hundred Rupees, you can help me to buy them 2 notebooks. It really does not matter how much you donate.

You can handover your donations in person to me or transfer it to an account of mine which i will give you if you are interested.

I will update you on the progress and submit the accounts at the end.

If you have any concerns, doubts or suggestions, feel free to contact me.

Regards,
Karthi
